Although the entire FC Barcelona squad is going through a period of uncertainty, Vitor Roque is one player whose future at the Catalan club is perhaps the most uncertain.

After joining the Blaugranes last January, the Brazilian failed to become an important player for Xavi last season and played only minimal minutes on the pitch.

This summer, there have been a lot of reports claiming Barcelona are open to sending him on a loan, although the player himself and his entourage are reluctant to agree to such a move.

European clubs like Porto and Lazio have tried to take advantage of his precarious situation at Barcelona, but there have been no offers that satisfy the Catalan club.

But now, SPORT reports that another possibility has opened up that can convince Barcelona to part ways with the Brazilian striker. Roque is now receiving interest from Saudi Arabia, and a sale operation can take place if the player himself agrees to it.

The report claims that the Blaugranes have a strong offer on the table from the Saudis, which will not only recuperate their investment in the Brazilian youngster but also provide them with a significant profit.

The Catalans are strongly considering this offer, and Deco and Flick will make a final decision in this regard. Both of them want to see more of Roque before parting ways with him permanently, and there is also a fear at Barcelona that the striker can explode at another club, which will be a significant loss for the Catalan club.

But on the other hand, the Catalans also understand that Roque will not have a lot of opportunities to shine under Flick, especially as the forward line is already quite full, while Nico Williams is also highly likely to be incorporated this summer.

Furthermore, selling Roque to the Saudis will also make Barcelona’s operation for Nico Williams significantly easier. For now, the sporting area at the Blaugrana club is almost sure of Roque’s sale, while Raphinha will continue with Barcelona, despite him not being a starter for the next season.

Barcelona understand that they will have to make sales to buy new players this summer, and will make a final decision on this matter after returning from the USA tour. Roque still wants to stay at the Catalan club, but will face immense pressure in the coming weeks to accept a departure.
