Samson Ebukam's second defensive TD comes on wild interception of Patrick Mahomes

Offense was billed as the main course of Monday’s NFL showcase. It didn’t disappoint.

But defenders came up with some of the biggest plays during the primetime matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs, few bigger than Samson Ebukam’s third quarter pick-six of Patrick Mahomes.

Ebukam snags ball in mid-air at line of scrimmage

The Rams linebacker stuck his left hand up on an edge rush on a Chiefs first-and-10 at their own 25-yard line and came down with a football intended for tight end Demetrius Harris, who was running a short curl route.

By the time Mahomes and Tyreek Hill dragged Ebukam down, he was already in the end zone to give the Rams a 40-33 lead.
