Sampdoria 2-3 Milan Primavera: Guidi’s boys clinch crucial win to bounce back
After two consecutive defeats, Federico Guidi and his Milan Primavera bounced back with an important win on Saturday afternoon, albeit against the rock-bottom side Sampdoria.
Milan Primavera were at the top of the standings a few weeks back, as a result of three consecutive wins, then two defeats came. Mattia Liberali was even sent off in the game against Roma and thus missed out on the action today.
Nevertheless, taking on the worst team in the league, the Rossoneri were able to bounce back with an important win. Emanuele Sala opened the scoring in the first half with an easy finish, and after a Samp equaliser at the start of the second, Maxi Ibrahimovic restored the lead with a nice shot.
Andrea Di Siena then made it 3-1, making the most of an Adam Bakoune cross, while it should also be noted that Vincenzo Perrucci got the assists for the other two goals. Before the game was over, however, Samp pulled one back with about ten minutes left.
Despite facing the rock-bottom side, therefore, it ended up being rather nervy for Guidi’s boys. The absences of Alessandro Bonomi and Liberali weighed heavily, though.
