Sam Carrick Transforming Into ‘A Top Contributor Offensively’
Sam Carrick has impressed a lot of people around the New York Rangers as of late including Peter Laviolette.
Between his hard-nosed style of play, impact defensively and newly established offensive game, Laviolette is loving everything about Carrick on his team.
“Sam has played terrific as of late,” Laviolette said. “He is not only doing a job defensively and physically, but contributing offensively. He’s been a top contributor offensively lately and that’s great when you can get that balance from your lines. It takes everybody.”

The 32-year-old center is averaging 11:08 minutes per game this season, but recently he’s seen his role increase.
Over the past four games, Carrick has tallied over 13 minutes while recording 18:26 minutes last week against the Vegas Golden Knights.
In these four games, the veteran forward produced two goals, three assists and five points.
It shows that Laviolette’s trust in Carrick is continuing to grow and he has suddenly transformed into one of the Rangers’ top forwards.
The Blueshits gave Carrick a three-year, $3 million contract over the summer as it’s turning out to be an excellent signing.
