The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced that recent 26th overall pick, defender Cruz Scanzano, has left the team.

Scanzano, 16, had two assists over 13 games with the team.

It is unclear as of yet which team the 6-foot-3 2026 NHL draft eligible blueliner will continue his hockey career with.

Following the move, the Sea Dogs announced the signing of 2006-born centerman Parker Forlin.

Forlin, 18, has the highest points-per-game of all players with at least 15 games in the OJHL, with 56 points (27+26) across just 32 games with the Niagara Falls Canucks.

Forlin is a former fourth round pick by the OHL's Barrie Colts in the 2022 draft.

The 5-foot-8 middleman has no NCAA or NHL affiliation as of yet.
