Saginaw Signs 2024 Tenth-Round Pick
The Saginaw Spirit announced earlier today that the team signed 2008-born forward Trevor Theuer to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
"[Trevor] is a fierce competitor that works extremely hard each and every time he steps on the ice," said Saginaw GM Dave Drinkill. "This drive combined with his skating ability and offensive skill set is exactly what we want in our system ... I know our staff is looking forward to working with him."
Saginaw drafted Theuer with the 201st pick of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection.
The 5-foot-10 forward captained the Honeybaked U-15 AAA team last season. In 56 games, he scored 24 goals and added 45 assists for a total of 69 points.
Theuer played four games with the USNTDP Juniors as well as four games with the U.S. National U-17 Team. He did not record a point in those games.
He will have the opportunity to join a Saginaw club that currently sits fifth in the Western Conference.
As a 2008-born player, Theuer has the potential to have a long OHL career.
He will have the opportunity to play for Saginaw on Wednesday in a high-stakes game between the Saginaw Spirit and the Windsor Spitfires.
