The Sabres are making a change to their forward group against the Golden Knights, as they have announced that Sam Lafferty will be scratched.
Lafferty, 29, has had a tough start to his Sabres tenure. After posting career highs with 13 goals and 24 points in 79 games last season with the Vancouver Canucks, he has just one goal, two assists, and a minus-3 rating in 29 games this season.
With Lafferty being scratched, the Sabres announced that Nicolas Aube-Kubel will be in the lineup. Aube-Kubel last played on Dec. 21 against the Boston Bruins and has two points in 16 games.
