With the Sabres continuing to struggle, there is a good chance that we could see them make notable changes to their roster. One specific player standing out as a possible trade candidate because of this is defenseman Henri Jokiharju.
Jokiharju, 25, is in the final season of his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer. Because of this, he could be a rental target for contenders looking to boost up their defensive depth on the right side before the post-season.
In 26 games this season with the Sabres, Jokiharju has one goal, three points, 23 hits, and a plus-2 rating. This is after he had three goals and set career highs with 17 assists and 20 points in 74 games last season with the Sabres.
We will need to wait and see what happens with Jokiharju from here, but he is undoubtedly one pending UFA on the Sabres to keep an eye on.
