Sabres Coach Gives Concerning News About Star
According to the Buffalo Times-Herald's Bill Hoppe, Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff shared that goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen suffered an "ailment" during Sunday's practice. In addition, Ruff noted that he pulled UPL during his start against the Montreal Canadiens because he thought it was negatively impacting his play.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen suffered an “ailment” in practice yesterday, according to Lindy Ruff. He thought perhaps it was hurting his play so he took him out.

Luukkonen allowed four goals on 18 shots against the Habs before being replaced by Devon Levi. Levi allowed two goals on four shots in relief.
If this ailment ends up sidelining UPL, it would not be good for a Sabres club looking to jump up in the standings. He was just named the NHL's Third Star of the Week after posting a 3-0-0 record, a 1.30 goals-against average, and a .956 save percentage from Nov. 4 to Nov. 10.
We will now need to wait and see what happens with UPL and his ongoing situation from here.
