Yahoo Sports Sabres AHL Goalie Injured From Big Cheap Shot
During the Rochester Americans' recent matchup against the Hartford Wolf Pack, Amerks goalie Felix Sandstrom received a cheap shot from defenseman Ben Harpur.
Harpur charged toward Sandstrom and unexpectedly hit the goaltender. From there, Sandstrom fell backward into the net.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this before…Ben Harpur was given a 5 min. major and a game misconduct tonight in the AHL for charging into G Felix Sandstrom.

Harpur was handed a five-minute major for the play and a game misconduct. In addition, Harpur has since been given a four-game suspension. Sandstrom, on the other hand, left the contest injured and needed to be helped off the ice.
This was also a clear act of revenge from Harpur, as Sandstrom unintentionally injured the defenseman last season while trying to make a save.
