Ryder Pride: Ottawa Senators Captain Brady Tkachuk and Wife Emma Welcome Their First Child
Unless it's a Hyundai commercial, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk doesn't like taking a backseat to anyone. Now, he'll happily do it every year on his birthday, which he now shares with his newborn child.
Yesterday, on Tkachuk's 25th, he and his wife, Emma, became first-time parents and broke the news on Instagram today with this caption: Ryder Keith Tkachuk, our whole world. ❤️ September 16, 2024, 9lb, 5oz.
The Sens reposted the photo on X.

The middle name, obviously, honours the proud new granddad, Keith, who played 18 years in the NHL. But we'll be honest. As big Seinfeld fans, we were secretly hoping the name would be "Seven," after Brady and Keith's famous jersey number.
Given the Tkachuk family's high end hockey prowess, the new arrival has the natural bloodlines to be a player someday. But Ryder is already a great, thoughtful teammate, arriving just in time for dad to attend most or all of Senators training camp, which begins tomorrow.
Ferda. Or in this case, Fer Dad.
Congrats and digital cigars to the Tkachuk family from everyone here at The Hockey News Ottawa.
