The Chicago Bears' trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame was an overall success, between three former Bears players being enshrined among football's elite or coming out of their first preseason game with a win. It was great to see Chicago in the center of the football world as the league celebrated this great sport.

The Hall of Fame game was suspended at the end of the third quarter due to inclement weather in the Canton, Ohio, area. The Bears earned the win (21-17 over the Houston Texans) in the game, not that it matters in the end.

It took the NFL and local officials a little while to officially call the game after a weather delay. During the delay, ESPN did its thing to keep people at home entertained while a decision was being made.

Part of that was a conversation with two very important Bears figures: president and CEO Kevin Warren and general manager Ryan Poles, who joined announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the broadcast booth.

With no game going on, the camera was on the four of them as they talked about the Bears organization. Among the topics were the greatness of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the new stadium potentially being built along with where it might be, and Poles' overall building of this promising-looking team.

This moment in the night has to be so exciting for Bears fans. They deserve a new state-of-the-art stadium, and they deserve to have a winning football team playing there. Nothing is set in stone yet, but it does seem that they are on the right path.

Both Poles and Warren are both very well-spoken and command respect whenever they walk into the room. The things they have done to help the Bears (or plan to do) are unlike anything we've seen from leadership in recent memory. Hopefully, it all leads to where we want them to go.
