The Rush: Are we witnessing the worst quarterback in NFL history?

In a crazy Sunday around the NFL, the Bills’ loss to the Texans took the cake. When Josh Allen left the game with an elbow injury, Nathan Peterman stepped in to lead the Bills. First he threw a beautiful touchdown pass to give his team the 13-10 advantage. Then he promptly turned back into a pumpkin, throwing a pick six to put the Texans ahead. Then another pick on the following drive to ice the game. With Josh Allen officially questionable for Buffalo’s next game, there’s no end in sight for the awful Bills. It’s possible Nathan Peterman will be their starting QB next week when they take on the Colts.

The Red Sox evened the ALCS against the Astros Sunday night at Fenway Park with a 7-5 victory. Even though Boston won, Sox starter David Price struggled again. He gave up four runs in 4 and two-thirds innings. For the first time in his career, his team won a playoff game that he started. In an unusual show of support, Sox fans gave their $217 million starter a standing ovation as he exited the game despite the sub-par effort. Even so, if they were to look in the mirror and be honest with themselves, they can’t possibly feel confident about their team’s number two starter going forward.
