Emanuele Sala has not often stolen the headlines for the AC Milan Primavera squad, but the youngster is making waves for his club and National team internally.

Milan’s youth set-up is fantastic, and whilst the senior side lacks much Italian representation, the youth teams fill the Azzurri’s ranks, and one of the players excelling on both fronts is Sala. The 17-year-old marked his birthday with a goal at the weekend, and Radio Rossonera has cited him as one of the best talents in the Rossoneri academy.

In his 12 years at the club, he has distinguished himself for his on-field qualities, whilst also being a leader in the dressing room, even wearing the captain’s armband.

As the report writes, the Diavolo is in his DNA, and there are suggestions that he could better the impact that his brother Alessandro had in his early days with the club. After all, the youngster has the ability to play across the midfield and possesses the traits to excel in each.

Idolising Iniesta, he has become a staple in Guidi’s side, after initially being called up to the squad by Ignazio Abate and he now stars for the pitch, with Daniele Bonera also keeping an eye on his progression.

With the National Team, he won the European Championship with the U-17 squad and has also recently had minutes with the U-19 set-up.

A bright future lies in wait, and with his excellent relationship with Francesco Camarda, Sala will be hoping he can forge a way into the first team and one day create memories with his friend on the turf of San Siro.
