Royals added Chick-fil-A ads to foul poles at Kauffman Stadium and fans can win food

The Royals returned to Kauffman Stadium on Friday for their first game at home in more than two weeks.

Fans who plan to attend one of the nine games on the homestand that started Friday are sure to notice a change at Kauffman Stadium.

The foul poles down the left- and right-field lines have Chick-fil-A advertising that had been added over the fortnight. They say: “Hittin Dingerz Eatin Chikin,” in the font fans will notice from the restaurant’s longtime commercials and billboards.

Take a look at what the Royals are calling the new Fowl Poles.

Fans can win free food

This is more than simple advertising. The Royals said if one of their players hits one off a foul pole, everyone at that day’s game will get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich.

If the Royals turn a double play in the second inning, fans will get a five-piece chicken nuggets. But that’s only in the second inning.

Should one of those things happen, a QR code will appear on the CrownVision board allowing fans the opportunity to get the freebie.

But they’ll have to do it after the game because there is not a Chick-fil-A at Kauffman Stadium.
