Roy Hodgson boosted by double Crystal Palace injury boost despite Everton defeat
Roy Hodgson is confident Crystal Palace will improve following the return of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.
The Eagles boss saw his side concede late in Saturday’s dramatic loss to Everton at Selhurst Park.
Palace are now without a win in their last four home Premier League games but Hodgson believes the return of two of his most creative players will be a major boost.
Eze, who recently signed a new long-term contract at the club after summer interest from Manchester City, recently returned from a hamstring and scored a penalty against the Toffees.
Olise, meanwhile, made his first appearance of the season after a hamstring problem.
“To state the obvious, to have two players of that quality back makes us a better team,” said Hodgson.
“We look more dangerous and we have more quality in the attacking areas when those two are back playing, so we’re very happy about that, but unfortunately it didn’t help us today because their re-entry was a defeat.”
