De Rossi considers utilizing Dybala as a false nine next season

Paulo Dybala is about to enter his third season in the Italian capital and his role within the club may soon expand even further.

Having already established himself as a key player for the Giallorossi, Paulo Dybala is set to become one of the leaders of Daniele De Rossi’s new project.

The Roma boss is in fact looking at the possibility of expanding Dybala’s range of duties on the pitch.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the recent friendly against Latina which Roma won 6-1 hinted at De Rossi ready to utilize Dybala as a false nine in the team’s starting formation next season.

With Roma yet to appoint Romelu Lukaku’s replacement, De Rossi is said to have started working closely with Dybala to make him the key link in Roma’s attack.

El Shaarawy could also assume this role, writes the newspaper, and rotate accordingly with Dybala.
