Rookie Rearguard Agrees to Terms with Solar Bears

The Orlando Solar Bears added depth on their blueline, announcing rookie defenseman Robbie Stucker has agreed to terms on an ECHL standard player contract for 2024-25.

The 25-year-old native of St. Paul, Minnesota has played in 59 ECHL games over two seasons. He began his pro hockey career with the South Carolina Stingrays, scoring a goal and six assists for seven points in 10 games during the 2022-23 season.

Last season, Stucker played in 49 games split between the Iowa Heartlanders and Utah Grizzlies, totaling 20 points (0-20-20).

Prior to the ECHL, the 6-foot-3, 179-pound right-handed shot played five seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Vermont from 2021-23 and the University of Minnesota from 2018-21.

At Vermont, Stucker registered 29 points (7-22-29) over two seasons. He scored 16 points (2-14-16) in three seasons with Minnesota.
