Ronald Araújo hails ‘incredible’ young Barcelona teammate after win over Barbastro

Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has this evening moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of young teammate Toni Fernandéz.

This comes after the starlet enjoyed an outing to remember on Saturday.

Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to minnows Barbastro for a Copa del Rey Last-32 clash.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana marched to the right side of an eventual 4-0 result, courtesy of goals on the part of Eric García, Robert Lewandowski (2) and Pablo Torre.

And yet, it is the name of the aforementioned Toni Fernandéz which has taken its place front and centre in the headlines post-match.

This comes after the 16-year-old became the 2nd-youngest debutant in the storied history of Barcelona, behind only Lamine Yamal.

And one individual who appears altogether unsurprised by Toni’s rise to senior level comes in the form of Ronald Araújo.

Drawn on his young teammate’s talents on the back of the full-time whistle this evening, stopper Araújo assured:

“Toni Fernandéz has incredible quality. We see it in training.”
