Chido Obi-Martin is reportedly close to joining Manchester United after he accepted an offer from the Premier League giants.

The Danish teenager is currently a free agent after recently confirming his departure from Arsenal.

We previously reported the 16-year-old wanted to join United but has been facing an issue concerning his agent’s commission.

Now reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Obi-Martin has accepted the Red Devils’ proposal after turning down higher bids from Germany.

The youngster began his career with Danish side KB before joining the Gunners’ academy at the age of 14.

He impressed with his performances for the reserve teams and scored an incredible 32 goals in 20 Under-18 Premier League appearances in 2023-24.

Arsenal wanted to secure his future by offering him new and improved terms. As per the Football Association’s rules, he cannot sign a professional contract in England until he reaches the age of 17.

But he decided to leave the North Londoners and is now poised to join the Red Devils this summer.

This is very exciting news for United supporters as they have managed to secure the services of a top talent.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund were also reportedly interested in Obi-Martin but he opted to join the Manchester outfit.

It looks the club have promised a first-team pathway for the 16-year-old as he turned down higher salary offers from Germany.
