Romano provides latest on potential double Chelsea exit which could pave way for new signings
Aston Villa will be in touch with Chelsea again today about deals for Axel Disasi and Joao Felix according to Fabrizio Romano.
The January window is now into the final few days, and whilst Chelsea have been quieter than expected so far, this is usually the point where things start to pick up.
Chelsea are yet to sell any players with the only notable departure Renato Veiga’s loan move to Juventus, but the Blues are looking to bring one or two players in.
Villa will be in touch with Chelsea again for Felix and Disasi
Chelsea have got a number of players they are looking to move on before Monday’s deadline day, but as of yet they haven’t found any solutions.
Disasi and Felix are two players who could leave before deadline day with Champions League chasing Villa interested in the pair.
Villa and Disasi are said to already have agreed personal terms, with it now up to Chelsea and Villa to reach an agreement on what is likely to be a loan deal.
Felix leaving in January having only signed in the summer for £45m from Atletico Madrid, would come as a surprise, but the Portugal international is said to be attracting interest from four clubs, including Villa.
Romano has provided a further update on the situation with Villa hoping to close a deal for both players before the end of the window.
He took to X.com and said:
“Aston Villa have been in touch with Chelsea yesterday and will be again today for both João Félix and Axel Disasi. Disasi only wants Villa, Félix deal depends on what Chelsea decide to do.”

It’s unlikely Chelsea would let both leave without two attackers coming in, but at this point it seems it could be easier to facilitate a departure for Felix than Nkunku, but this will likely be a saga which runs up to deadline day.
