Roma and West Ham closing in on agreement for Tammy Abraham
Roma are likely to part ways with Tammy Abraham before the transfer deadline.
The Englishman did not feature in the recent defeat to Empoli, with Daniele De Rossi preferring to rely on Eldor Shomurodov off the bench than him.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, it is only a matter of hours before Roma and West Ham come to an agreement with regards to the final transfer fee for the ex-Chelsea striker.
The newspaper reports that a deal is likely to be sealed on the basis of 22 million euros, which would represent an important capital gain and above all a significant cut in the club’s wage bill: Tammy, even if with the growth decree, cost around 9 million gross per year to Roma.
With his departure, the Giallorossi will have taken a considerable step forward in their pursuit of a more sustainable long-term project.
