With Lina Souloukou gone, Roma will need to appoint a new CEO.

The Friedkins are said to have been particularly outraged with the way De Rossi’s departure came about.

According to Il Tempo, the American owners took issue with the rupture that was created between the fans and the club as a result of De Rossi’s sudden dismissal and presented their concerns to Souloukou who was increasingly being labelled ‘the evil of Rome’ as one of the banners hanging outside Trigoria suggested.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin were reportedly upset over a number of decisions and situations Souloukou handled over the course of the summer, too.

As a result, Souloukou’s decision to withdraw was mutually agreed upon, given that the executive’s contract was set to run out in 7 months from now.

Now, the newspaper reports that Roma have turned to Egon Zehdner – the global, Switzerland-based management consulting company – in their search for a new CEO.
