Roma Sporting Director Florent Ghisolfi has made yet another coy response regarding transfer links to Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.

The Giallorossi executive spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia ahead of yesterday’s Serie A match against Genoa, via FCInterNews.

The transfer links between Roma and Frattesi have dominated the January transfer window.

Reportedly, former Sassuolo midfielder has made up his mind about wanting to leave Inter.

And Roma are the team that Frattesi wants to join. Meanwhile, the interest from the Giallorossi is by all accounts mutual.

However, it isn’t quite that simple.

Inter will certainly want a very high fee to sell Frattesi. Reportedly, the Nerazzurri are aiming for a figure in the region of €45-50 million.

Roma Sporting Director Still Coy On Davide Frattesi Links

Considering Inter’s asking price, Roma are at a bit of an impasse as far as signing Frattesi right now.

However, that has not really deterred the Giallorossi’s interest.

By all accounts, Roma are still searching for a way to sign Frattesi. Whether that is in the January transfer window, or next summer.

A player-plus-cash offer would be one potential way to make a deal for Frattesi happen.

And then, there is always the possibility that Roma could make a big move later this month. The end of the Champions League “league phase” could change the situation.

Roma Sporting Director Ghisolfi was asked about the links with Frattesi. However, he was coy with his response.

“I don’t want to talk about other club’s players,” he said. But he added “…even if he is a son of Rome.”

Frattesi being from the capital – and a boyhood Roma fan – could certainly play a role in the transfer saga.
