Roma and Rennes discuss adding Rick Karsdorp in deal for Lorenz Assignon

Roma are working on the signing of Lorenz Assignon from Rennes.

The French right-back is currently the club’s favorite to reinforce the right flank, a player Roma are confident can rotate with Zeki Celik.

Over the last few days, Roma opened talks with Rennes to discuss the conditions of a transfer.

According to Sky Sport, recent negotiations between the two clubs have involved the possibility of including Rick Karsdorp in a deal for Assignon.

The out-of-favor Roma defender could end up at the French club only on the condition that Roma contribute to the payment of his salary (2.5 million euros net).

Rennes values ​​Assignon at 11 million euros and Aston Villa is also interested in the player, but at the moment the Giallorossi are Assignon’s priority.
