Roma put talks for Arnaud Bodart of Standard Liege on stand-by
Talks between Roma and Standard Liege for the transfer of goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart are currently on hold.
The two clubs have yet to reach an agreement for Bodart’s move to the Italian capital.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper is the favorite to become Mile Svilar’s back-up at Roma.
However, the Giallorossi are refusing to pay Standard’s request fee.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Roma have decided against paying the requested sum of money for Bodart.
As a result Standard proposed to include two Roma players on loan instead.
However, the part of the players’ salary that Standard Liège would have to cover is still too high and therefore the operation is in a stand-by phase.
