Roma nearing “Elite team” status in Adidas sponsorship
Roma could soon become part of the prestigious group of “Elite” clubs sponsored by Adidas.
According to footyheadlines.com, the German brand is considering the opportunity to promote some clubs to the next level, offering them a series of exclusive benefits, including the creation of authentic kits equipped with Heat/Dry technology, also designed for fans.
Another novelty would be the introduction of the classic Adidas clover logo on the third jersey, starting from the 2025/26 season.
Currently, Roma is included in the “Premier Team B” category, which guarantees personalised but not authentic kits.
The leap in category would represent a remarkable recognition for the Giallorossi, bringing them on par with teams such as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid, which already belong to the “Elite” level.
Liverpool will also join this group starting from the 2025/26 season.
Roma is not the only candidate for this qualitative leap, with Newcastle also being in the running.
Other clubs such as Aston Villa, Celtic, Ajax, Benfica and Leeds, on the other hand, seem to be less likely to get promoted.
