Roma are working tirelessly on a deal involving Girona’s Artem Dovbyk.

The Ukrainian striker is in pole position to become Roma’s new forward for next season.

After completing an agreement with the player, the Giallorossi promptly moved on to dealing with Girona.

In recent days, the capital club upped their bid and matched Atletico Madrid’s original offer for the 27-year-old.

More specifically, Roma – upon Dan Friedkin’s instruction – are ready to raise their fee package up to 32 million euros plus 6 million euros in bonuses which corresponds to the amount that Atleti promised Girona before talks broke down.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are confident that Girona will end up accepting the offer.

Florent Ghisolfi is working to gift Dovbyk to Daniele De Rossi for Roma’s upcoming training camp in England.

The next hours could be decisive, writes the newspaper, as Dovbyk’s agent is personally pressuring Girona into giving a timely response to Roma.
