Roma locked in talks for Mika Marmol

Roma and Las Palmas are reportedly locked in negotiations for defender Mika Marmol.

The ex-Barcelona centreback is the first name on Roma’s shortlist to replace Mario Hermoso.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are firm in their stance and do not wish to pay the required release clause of 10 million euros.

Roma are willing to offer as much as 7 million euros.

There is also competition from Girona and Betis, both of whom are interested in the 23-year-old.

The next 48 hours could prove decisive.
