Roma hold exploratory talks with Mateo Retegui

Roma are reportedly one of the teams interested in Italy international Mateo Retegui in this transfer window.

The Giallorossi have yet to strengthen their attack ahead of next season.

With the departures of Romelu Lukaku, Andrea Belotti and possibly Tammy Abraham, Roma will have to bring in a batch of fresh reinforcements for De Rossi’s squad.

One of the rumored names on Roma’s shortlist is that of Mateo Retegui who has been linked with a summer exit from Genoa.

The Italian striker, 25 years of age, could in fact leave the Grifoni after just on year.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma made a timid advance toward the ex-Tigre man.

The newspaper claims Roma held exploratory talks with the player’s entourage.

However, Retegui has also caught the attention of the likes of Bologna and Juventus.
