Roma evaluate conditions of deal for Genoa striker Mateo Retegui
Roma are being linked with Italian international Mateo Retegui as a possible summer reinforcement.
In recent weeks, Retegui’s name has frequently been mentioned when discussing Roma’s transfer plans.
The Giallorossi are said to be interested in the 25-year-old striker as a complimentary piece to Daniele De Rossi’s attack.
As reported by La Repubblica, with Tammy Abraham unlikely to leave due to lack of offers, Roma are working on a plan B that may involve a low-cost option such as Retegui.
The Genoa attacker is deemed a suitable alternative to Abraham.
However, the conditions of a deal involving the ex-Tigre man must be carefully studied by Roma, as Genoa continue to ask for a fee of up to 20-25 million euros.
