Roma’s deal for Assignon is off: the player will not join the Giallorossi

Lorenz Assignon will not be joining Roma after weeks of negotiations.

With the arrival of Saud Abdulhamid of Al Hilal and the need to strengthen the squad in various other roles, Roma now seem to have definitively abandoned another option for the right flank.

Assignon had been pursued by the Giallorossi for a long time during the months of July August.

As reported by Il Tempo, the deal has definitively collapsed.

Roma did not respond to Rennes’ ultimatum as Giallorossi sporting director refused to formalize the capital club’s offer for the 24-year-old French right-back.
