While rumors of Roma’s interest in Girona’s Dovbyk surfaced late last night, Roma are still in pursuit of Alexander Sorloth.

The Norwegian striker is among the options Roma are working on to lead Daniele De Rossi’s attack next season.

According to Il Tempo, the Giallorossi have not given up just yet on Sorloth despite the difficulties encountered in their dealings with Villareal.

The newspaper reports that the Giallorossi sent to Villarreal a proposal of 30 million euros, significantly approaching the 38 million of the clause that the Spaniards continue to ask for.

Sorloth had already been dealt with by the then GM Tiago Pinto three seasons ago. Now, the 28-year-old could become Roma’s new striker for the season ahead.
