Roma considering ex-Milan executive Zvonimir Boban as new CEO
Roma have kickstarted the casting for Lina Souloukou’s successor.
The Greek director resigned on Sunday following an outburst of criticism from fans who took issue with the way she handled Daniele De Rossi’s dismissal from the club.
Following Souloukou’s decision to step down, the Friedkins have turned to a management consulting company in their search for a new CEO.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the names Roma will consider is that of Zvonimir Boban, former footballer and manager with experience at Milan and UEFA.
Boban worked for Milan between 2019 and 2021 as Chief Football Officer.
Since 2021 he’s held the title of Chief of Football at UEFA.
In the meantime, the operational management of the club has been entrusted to the trusted lawyer Lorenzo Vitali, who is dealing with various dossiers, and to the general secretary Maurizio Lombardo, both called upon to maintain stability until the appointment of the new CEO.
