Roma are serious about Matias Soulè after abandoning the trail that led to Federico Chiesa.

The Argentine, unlike the Italian, proved to be absolutely enthusiastic about wearing Giallorossi colors.

Now, Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is pushing to close the deal.

The first offer of 25 million euros presented by Roma to Juventus was rejected, as expected, by the Bianconeri: Juve executive Cristiano Giuntoli asks for 35 million euros to let Soulè leave.

But at 30 million the deal can be closed, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. Roma are working on the right offer with the confidence they can reach an agreement.

In the middle there is always Leicester, an English club that has already moved towards that figure with a proposal including various bonuses. Juve would have no doubts: if it were up to them, they would sell Soulé to the English, but here the player’s will comes into play.

In fact, the Argentine has already made it known that he only wants Roma, otherwise he will put his foot down and stay at Juve.

Ghisolfi therefore knows he has a great advantage, and he will leverage that. In the next few hours, the sporting director will push towards the 30 million euros needed to break Juventus’ resistance with a series of easily achievable bonuses.

At that point it will be up to Juve to decide what to do: the Bianconeri need to raise cash to sign Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, and they will hardly refuse the Giallorossi’s second bid.
