South Pointe rolls past Ballantyne Ridge in Charlotte

Northwestern rolls

No. 3 Northwestern 48, South Florence 7: Northwestern jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead and cruised in its warm-up game before next week’s city showdown with South Pointe. Northwestern QB Finley Polk was 18 of 28 for 290 yards and five touchdowns. He connected with Kameron Vance seven times for 140 yards and three touchdowns.

No. 7 Hough 41, Carolina Forest 0: Hough senior Jycen Anciso ran 14 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Huskies on the road. Jamison Funderburk also had two touchdowns rushing. On defense, Edward Conover had eight tackles and one tackle for a loss for Hough and senior Cameron Cyr had three sacks.
