Robertson's Two-Goal Performance Propels Stars Over Golden Knights, 4-3
The Dallas Stars had their biggest game of the season yet on Friday night as they matched up yet again with their conference rivals, the Vegas Golden Knights. In their previous game, Vegas took home the win with a 3-2 victory at home. The script was flipped on Friday night at the American Airlines Center where the Stars were led by Jason Robertson's two-goal outburst en route to a 4-3 win.
Jason Robertson has been one of the hottest players in the NHL over his last 25 games. The star forward has amassed 10 goals and 28 points within that span. The native of Arcadia, California put up two more goals last night, with his second being a wrist shot from down low, to give the Stars a 4-2 lead in the second period.
The eventual 4-3 win for the Stars put them into sole possession of second place in the Central Division. Dallas will look to Jason Robertson to keep providing the clutch offensive output as they now set their sights on catching the first place Winnipeg Jets.
Dallas and Vegas will match up again next week as the Stars will make a stop at the T-Mobile arena. The Stars will make a quick pit stop in St. Louis tonight for a quick rendezvous with the Blues. Fans can tune in for the 6:00pm CST puck drop on Victory+ and ESPN+.
