Robertson Keeps Distributing Despite End to Winning Streak

The Dallas Stars currently hold steady in the Central Division, and sitting in the third place position has been no easy feat in one of the NHL's toughest divisions. Dallas has had to deal with the injury bug early in the season as they say Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment go down for a significant amount of time. Two of their top point-getters will be out for some time, leaving Coach Pete DeBoer and the team with an opportunity to get creative with where they receive their production. Some of that production has been left on the shoulders of 25-year-old star Jason Robertson. Robertson has been the top facilitator thus far this season, and the Stars will have to continue to rely on him if they wish to start another lengthy win streak.

Coming into the 2024-25 season, the Dallas Stars had padded their roster with a mixture of young and seasoned players with an above-average ability to accumulate points. Along with Jason Robertson, the Stars were bringing back other top facilitators in Miro Heiskanen and Matt Duchene. Robertson is coming off a previous season in which he not only leads the team in points (80), but also lead the Stars in assists (51). The six-year forward is well on his way to surpass those numbers, as Dallas has heavily leaned on him early on in the new season due to numerous injuries. Robertson has been on a hot streak as of late, as he has tallied nine assists in his last 10 games. He has also chipped in with four goals over that stretch, with his most recent coming in the Stars' 3-2 loss to the Senators on Sunday night.

Robertson will look to not only continue his recent string of points, but also begin another lengthy winning streak for the Stars, as they will take on the Maple Leafs in Toronto, Jan. 14. The Stars conclude their road trip in Toronto before they head back to the American Airlines Center for a rendezvous with the Montreal Canadiens on Jan.16th.
