The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be adding yet another veteran player looking for another championship. The team is reportedly meeting with former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman on Tuesday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Sherman, 33, played in just five games with the San Francisco 49ers last season due to a calf injury. He sustained the injury during the first week of the season, missed nine games and was able to return in Week 12. Sherman played four games before re-aggravating the injury, causing him to miss the final two games of the season.

The injury makes it difficult to fully evaluate Sherman's performance in 2020. Sherman looked strong during the 2019 season, when he made the Pro Bowl for the fifth time in his career. The Buccaneers are hoping Sherman still has that ability after dealing with an injury-riddled season last year.

Sherman has reportedly drawn interest from a number of teams, so he may have other meetings lined up if he leaves Tuesday's visit with a contract from the Bucs.

Richard Sherman arrested in offseason

It's the first team visit for Sherman since he was arrested on five misdemeanor charges, including DUI and criminal trespass with a domestic violence designation. Sherman was allegedly "drunk and belligerent" and threatened to kill himself before the arrest.

A day after the arrest, Sherman's wife, Ashley, released a statement saying Sherman did not hurt anybody. She called Sherman "a good person" and added that the incident was "not his character." The following day, Sherman released a statement expressing remorse for his actions and vowing "to get the help I need."
