Ricardo Pereira facing lengthy layoff with hamstring injury

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has provided an unfortunate injury update on Ricardo Pereira.

The Foxes lost 3-0 to Manchester United on Sunday without the full-back available and will be without his talents long-term.

“It happens; none of us want injuries, but unfortunately, both [Pereira and Vardy] picked up injuries last week and have been unable to recover for today, which is unfortunate," said Cooper before kick-off.

Following the match, the boss confirmed Pereira will miss about four months of action due to a hamstring issue.

He has made four appearances for the club this season.
