Czechia is one of those nations that has had a footballing influence that often flies under the radar.

One player to hail from the Bohemian nation that soared above all of Europe though was midfield magician Pavel Nedvěd.

While many current fans will know him for his boardroom-level positions with Juventus, and now with Saudi club Al Shabab, it was not all that long ago when the diminutive Cheb-born Nedvěd held the continent at his fingertips.

Across a career that took him from former domestic giants Dukla Prague and then to Sparta Prague before lighting up Serie A with Lazio and Juventus, Nedvěd's dazzling career culminated with Ballon d'Or honours in 2003.

Czech Golden Ball winner six times across his career as well as numerous other accolades, his brilliance on the ball, creative nuance, and penchant for a ridiculous goal made Nedvěd one of the most vaunted players of his generation.
