Despite being out of action, Tajon Buchanan still landed a spot on the Inter Milan Champions League squad list in a decision that raised many eyebrows.
The Canadian sustained a serious injury in July while on international. Many feared the 25-year-old would be on the treatment table for several months after undergoing surgery.
Initial medical analyses expected the wingback to make his return between December and January.
Therefore, Inter decided to act on the market. The club shifted Carlos Augusto back to his original role as a left wingback, and acquired Tomas Palacios as a new understudy for Alessandro Bastoni in the left centre-back berth.
And yet, Simone Inzaghi decided the snub the young Argentine defender when presenting his Champions League squad list.
The same goes for Joaquin Correa who could still leave the club. He’s currently being linked with a move to Greek side Panathinaikos.
