Milan Futuro have found themselves in the relegation zone heading into the new year in their first season, and the management will look to strengthen the squad.

As Calciomercato.com write, there were several games in the first part of their inaugural campaign where the team struggled because of a lack of experience and a lack of size, given the youthful nature of the squad.

Despite the poor results, Jovan Kirovski and RedBird senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic have decided to reaffirm their trust in Daniele Bonera  who will have the task of reviving a team that currently occupies the penultimate place in the table with 16 points, the same as Sestri Levante.

Kirovski has received the green light from the owners to make at least three or four new signings in the January window, to bolster the team. The director wants to give Bonera a new central defender, two wingers and also a striker.

The first move seems to be done as Andrea Magrassi will join from Cittadella, who rejected an offer from Triestina. The signature on the contract (which is expected to be for two and a half years) should arrive in the next few days, following the medical visits.

MilanNews are also reporting that Magrassi – a 31-year-old centre-forward – can be considered a closed deal. That would be the last slot for over-23s in the squad taken, so to sign another overage player, one would first of all have to leave.
