The NFL championship game kicks off Feb. 3, 2019, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Maroon 5 will reportedly take its “Moves Like Jagger” to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium 50-yard line in February as the band will perform the Super Bowl LIII halftime show Feb. 3, 2019 in Atlanta, according to a report from Variety.

US Weekly broke the news earlier Wednesday, reporting the band was asked to play and had “pretty much accepted.” The NFL has not made its announcement.

Maroon 5 is currently on its Red Pill Blues Tour. It plays at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on New Year’s Eve and has a break in the schedule until Feb. 19, when it kicks off the Australia leg in Brisbane.

Previous performers include Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Coldplay and Lady Gaga. Many have brought out guest artists to join them on stage. Maroon 5 recently collaborated with Cardi B (“Girls Like You”) and Kendrick Lamar (“Don’t Wanna Know”) and has hit songs with Christina Aguilera (“Moves Like Jagger”) and Wiz Khalifa (“Payphone”).

Lead man Adam Levine told Howard Stern in 2015 he and the six other band members wanted to play the Super Bowl and had been on the short list for a while.
