Report Manchester United lower Garnacho asking price for Napoli
According to Italian sources, Manchester United have lowered their demands for Alejandro Garnacho to €65m, so Napoli edge closer to an agreement.
It is no secret that the Argentina international is a target for Antonio Conte’s side who sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain last week.
There were reports this morning that the player’s entourage agreed personal terms with Napoli and would prefer them to other alternatives like Chelsea.
Garnacho meeting helps bridge Napoli gap
Now Sky Sport Italia claim that Manchester United have taken this into account and are lowering their original asking price following today’s meeting.
It is dropping from €75m to €65m, which would also include add-ons and performance-related bonuses.
That is significantly closer to the Napoli offer, which remains at €50-55m, and they hope an agreement can ultimately be reached at €60m including bonuses.
There are still more negotiations to go, but the work continues between the two clubs to whittle down the difference and today was a significant step.
