Report – Inter Milan Edging Closer To Completing First January Signing – Newell’s Old Boys President Arrives To Close The Deal
Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan are seemingly on the cusp of signing Tomas Perez from Argentine outfit Newell’s Old Boys.
According to Radio La Red journalist Uriel Lugt via FCInterNews, La Lepra’s president, Ignacio Astore, is on his way to Italy to finalize the agreement.
Following initial talks, the parties are ready to seal the deal.
Indeed, Astore will soon land in Milan for crunch talks with Inter, with Newell’s Old Boys reportedly ready to sanction the transfer.
Meanwhile, Mateo Silvetti will not follow in Perez’s footsteps immediately.
However, he remains a concrete target for Inter.

Inter could complete Perez’s arrival in the coming days.
But, the 19-year-old will not join the first-team squad immediately.
Instead, he will likely link up with another Italian club on loan to gain experience and regular first-team football.
Perez is a versatile midfielder with burgeoning talent, yet he lacks experience in European football.
Therefore, head coach Simone Inzaghi is open to letting him spend the second half of the season on loan elsewhere.
As for Silvetti, he could be the subject of discussions in the summer, considering the Argentines want him to stay until then.
