Report: Gianluca Mancini took issue with De Rossi’s decision-making in Cagliari draw
Today’s edition of La Repubblica depicts a tense atmosphere inside Roma’s dressing room following the match against Cagliari.
In addition to the much talked about altercation between Daniele De Rossi and Bryan Cristante in Wednesday’s training session, the newspaper tells the story of an argument between Gianluca Mancini and the Roma technician.
According to the newspaper, Mancini took issue with De Rossi’s decision to start Zalewski in the first game of the season vs Cagliari, opting to keep Paulo Dybala on the bench due to his uncertain future at the time.
In my Mancini’s view, De Rossi shouldn’t have started the Polish winger, and instead relied upon the team’s star player.
The argument got heated and the two are said to have had a loud exchange of words in the tunnel after the game in Sardinia.
