Report confirms two Man Utd starlets ‘could leave’ this month
Manchester United have long viewed the January window as a prime opportunity to send their young talents out on loan.
It seems they are continuing to follow this successful strategy once again.
Ethan Ennis has already joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.
According to Steven Railston, Dan Gore and Harry Amass ‘could leave on loan this month’.
Gore made his senior debut in September 2023 under former manager Erik ten Hag.
He was sent on loan to Port Vale last January but it turned out to be a nightmare.
He unfortunately got injured in his first appearance for the new club and returned to Old Trafford.
After spending over 200 days on the injury table, Gore returned to action in late September 2024.
He has been in fine form and was also nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award in December.
Toby Collyer seems to be ahead of him in the pecking order, and a successful loan move could set the stage for his comeback to the senior United squad.
Amass is another promising young talent on the brink of his breakthrough.
Injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia seemed like the perfect opportunity for him to step up and showcase his skills.
However, Ten Hag felt he wasn’t quite ready to handle the physical demands of senior football.
The 17-year-old is a highly-rated left-back who is known for his attacking prowess.
Amorim loves nurturing young talent and will undoubtedly keep a close eye on Amass’ development.
A regular spot in a Championship or League One side could be the perfect platform for him to make significant strides over the next six months.
