Rensch benched by Ajax as Roma move appears imminent
Devyne Rensch is one step away from joining Roma on a permanent deal from Ajax.
The Dutch winger has already reached an agreement with the Giallorossi for a contract until 2029, while the club is working to close the deal with Ajax.
A further sign of the imminent conclusion of the deal comes from the Lancers’ lineup for today’s match against Heerenveen, valid for the 19th matchday of the Eredivisie: Rensch starts from the bench, a detail that seems to indicate the desire to preserve him in view of a possible transfer.
Until a few days ago, the right back had been used consistently, playing the full 90 minutes in the last cup match against AZ Alkmaar.
The coach’s choice to exclude him from the starting lineup could therefore represent a concrete step towards his transfer to the capital.
