A referee took a helmet to the face during Military Bowl brawl between ECU and NC State

The end of Saturday's Go Bowling Military Bowl ended in a massive brawl that left one of the game's referees injured.

In the final minute of East Carolina's 26-21 win over North Carolina State, the two teams got into a fight that sparked eight ejections, as The Athletic's Chris Vannini noted.

During the brouhaha, one of the officials took a helmet to the face and walked away with a bloody injury under one of his eyes.

You never want to see a bowl game end like this, and you certainly hope this referee will be okay. Taking a helmet to the face is not fun in the slightest.
